On your next party, try wearing a Lizzie McGuire costume and dress up as one of the many memorable and beloved characters of the show. Whether you want to wear the colorful outfits of Lizzie, get a funky hairdo like Miranda's, don a polo and tee combination ala Gordo, wear Larry Tudgeman's trademark weekday polo, or get all middle school diva like Kate, fellow Lizzie McGuire fans will surely recognize you, and a lot of reminiscing will follow.
You can also check out some trademark jewelries Lizzie wore on both the TV series and the movie.
Who's your Favorite Lizzie McGuire Character?
Dress up as the Cartoon Version of Lizzie - The Lizzie Mcguire "Mascot"
Since the real Lizzie keeps changing her outfit per episode, why not dress up as her cartoon alter-ego instead? She wears the same thing each and every time which means you'll be more recognizable! Below is a costume set for kids, complete with the top, pants, and the pink boa, which reminds me of that episode when Lizzie became a great model and everyone started treating her like a VIP!
If you're an adult with a continued love for this show (like yours truly!), you can check out my guide below on how to dress like the Lizzie McGuire mascot (and look really good, too!) All you need is a blonde wig hot pink tank top, capris, platform flip flops, and you're good to go!
For the final touch, consider wearing the heart toggle necklace Lizzie wears frequently, click here to check it out!
For adults: Again, this bold color is just perfect!
For adults: This pair of Flip Flops is so cute! The strap is a leopard print embellished with gems - just the kind of cute, girly design Lizzie would wear
Lizzie Mcguire's Necklace - The Heart Toggle Lock Bauble
A gift from her mom, this necklace was featured in both the TV series and the movie, making it a very distinct accessory! And the necklace looks very beautiful as well so you can definitely wear it frequently.
I was so thrilled to see this as this is an almost exact replica of what Lizzie wore in the TV show and movie!

Infuse some girly-girl elements and bright colors and you've got yourself an outfit the blonde herself would like to wear!
Notice *she loves to pair patterns with patterns*. In the opening credits, she's wearing a purple shirt with dark streaks, a pair of orange leggings with some brown details, and a pair of sneakers.

I've included his stylish Rat Pack outfit on the episode, "Come Fly with Me", along with some other basic pieces he usually wears. Any graphic tee that is cool, has a vintage flair, or alludes to music or indie aspects will look great on him. In this episode, Gordo pays tribute to the rat pack days and wears this retro bowling shirt that looks awesome on him, paired with a great fedora hat. He looks very snazzy and charming in this one and all I can say is "Ethan who?"
You'll notice Gordo carries on a tee + button down shirt style on most of the episodes, with just the designs of the top and button down shirt changing. On most occasions the sleeves of the top are longer than that of the button down
Larry Tudgeman's Trademark Shirt
Larry's quite a memorable character in the show. He's a Star Trek fan who likes to act all charming in front of the ladies, and thinks he's quite the ladies' man when really most of the girls don't like him. It doesn't add to his charm that he wears the same shirt every single day - a cream shirt with some stains on it, a green collar, and green piping detail on the sleeve. The exact shirt isn't being sold on Amazon unfortunately but you can get a simple cream polo shirt instead then buy a green ribbon and hand stitch on the sleeves.
Dress like Kate Sanders
The cheerleader captain is usually wearing a turtleneck sleeveless top. Sometimes, she wears items with white fur details.
A lil' something about the Lizzie Mcguire Series
Lizzie McGuire is a beloved TV series that first aired in Disney Channel in 2001, which focuses on Hilary Duff's Lizzie McGuire and her adventures in middle school along with her 2 best friends, Miranda and Gordo. Lizzie learns a lot about dealing with snobby popular kids, first kisses, getting along with your annoying little brother, bonding with parents, and (my favorite!) falling in love with your best friend, and learns that being herself and having 2 genuine friends is all that's really needed to survive middle school.
Lizzie McGuire: The Movie
All Grown Up
Hilary Duff looks all grown up once the movie is aired and her style also changes. She's wearing more grown-up outfits and is seen more often with a pair of jeans. But her love for color and her girly fashion sense remain. What is most distinct about her getup in the movie is the heart necklace, which was specially mentioned in the scene where Mrs. McGuire sees an article about her and Paolo.
Lizzie Mcguire: College - Would it Work?
Recently, some rumors surfaced that they were going to make a Lizzie McGuire reunion. It was later on discovered that the rumors were just rumors. With Hilary being pregnant, I don't think this is quite possible now but after the baby, do you think this can ever happen? Adam Lamberg (Gordo) and Lalaine (Miranda) are still in the movie business (though only part time), but if the three are willing to return to the TV screen, would you guys watch it and do you think it will be a hit?
Do you think a Lizzie McGuire College Edition will ever happen?
What do you remember the most about your childhood, growing up with this loveable blonde character and her 2 best friends? Do you miss this show as much as I do? Does your heart still ache at the lack of Gordo/Lizzie closure? Post below!
