Ferrigno signed up with Universal Studios in 1977, and beat out both Arnold Schwarzenegger and Richard Kiel for the title role opposite Bill Bixby as the Hulk in The Incredible Hulk. Richard Kiel was hired for the series first, and scenes were filmed. It was quickly determined he was not muscular enough, and Ferrigno was signed. One quick shot of Kiel remains in the pilot movie. Although he did not share a line with Bixby on the set (except for one episode, "King of the Beach"), the two were friends. Ferrigno continued playing the Hulk role until 1981, although the last two episodes were not broadcast until May 1982. Later, he and Bixby co-starred in three The Incredible Hulk TV movies. There were major talks of another movie, The Rebirth of The Incredible Hulk, but due to Bixby's death, the project never went beyond the earliest stages of development. Ferrigno continued to keep in touch with Bixby until his death on November 21, 1993. Ferrigno attended Bixby's funeral in California.

Lou Ferrigno - Michael Jackson's Trainer

In 2009, bodybuilder Lou Ferrigno began training entertainer Michael Jackson for what would have become his final tour, "This Is It", in 2010. Here is the original article from People Magazine:

Who better to help Michael Jackson "hulk" up for tour than the original Hulk himself?

Lou Ferrigno's wife Carla has confirmed to PEOPLE that the star of the 1970's TV hit The Incredible Hulk has been working as Michael Jackson's physical trainer in preparation for Jackson's return to live performing in July. "Lou and Michael have known each other for a long time," says Carla. "Lou first trained Michael 15-years ago."

Jackson's exact workout regimen remains secret, but Ferrigno, a two-time Mr. Universe, has added muscle to other celebrity clients such as Mickey Rourke and Chuck Norris.

Lou Ferrigno The Apprentice

In 2012, Lou Ferrigno joined the cast of "The Apprentice" starring the infamous Donald Trump. Many viewers have complained that Lou comes across a bit whiny. Of course, no one is going to say that to this giant bodybuilder's face. Don't want the guy Hulking out, after all.

Ferrigno is an internationally famous bodybuilder and actor. He first burst onto the entertainment scene appearing on television as “The Incredible Hulk,” the alter ego of scientist Bruce Banner. Then, in the 2008 film he was the voice of The Hulk along with a star-studded cast. He also provided voiceover for the UPN animated series The Incredible Hulk. Ferrigno has had guest-starring roles on numerous television shows such as King of Queens and My Wife and Kids. He is the spokesman for Nestle USA, Inc. and the Sit Up-Sit Down Home Gym.

I loved the Hulk show as a kid, but I'm kind of finding Lou to be a bit of a whiner on Celebrity Apprentice.
