Movie Review: Love Story 1970

Updated on July 9, 2015

Love story is a love film based on a novel with same title. The movie was a big hit and the lovely quotes in this love film are still famous.i personally consider it to be the pioneer of love films i.e love story movies like ''A walk to remember''.

have never written a review about any movie ever but after watching ''love-story-1970'' i could not stop myself writing something about it.

There are many blockbuster movie but i can most surely say that there is no movie like this though it was released in 1970 when i decided to watch this movie i was expecting 70's style movie (you know what i am talking ..) but it turned totally opposite to my expectations i loved it before watching this movie my favourite love storieswere a walk to remember and if onlybut now they come second.

Ali MacGraw and Ryan O'Neal gave the best of their acting in this movie the way they spoke is awesome

Basically i heard the music of the movie first and when i heard the movie i fell in love with the music at that time i didn't even know where is this music from so i searched on Internet then i found ''love story'' and after watching this movie it became one of my favourite movie

the story is told as a flashback, the story line is something like ryan o'neil as oliver is a law student at harvard and ali macGraw as jennifer is a music student they both fell in love Oliver narrates the opening line of the film, looking back:

''What can you say about a twenty-five-year-old girl who died? That she was beautiful and brilliant? That she loved Mozart and Bach, the Beatles, and me?''

...then there is a beautiful story on how they meet how they look for each other and spend their difficult times together leaving everything but still complete because of each other ..though the ending is sad but there is no comparison to this movie

a famous quote from this movie is

''Love means never having to say you're sorry''

The opening sequence

I will have to watch "If Only" now because "Love Story" and "A Walk to Remember" are both 2 of my very favorite movies. I have never seen "If Only" but since you rank it up there with the other 2, I will watch it. I had forgotten how much I loved "Love Story" till I read your hub. Thanks for the reminder.
