Imax The Magic of Flight Movie Review

Updated on November 3, 2014

Fly With Imax's The Magic of Flight

The Magic of Flight is a 39-minute Imax film, which takes you soaring starting with the first flight flown by the Wright Brothers (1903) and including the Blue Angels and their maneuvers. It is a tribute of sorts to aircraft and to people who fly and is narrated by Tom Selleck.

The Magic of Flight was seventh on the list of the best Imax blu-ray movies in 2008. Definitely a great choice if you love airplanes and flying. It is an older movie shot in 1996 and so is of a different quality than those being made today for blu-ray technology.

On this page, you will find a brief discussion of this Imax documentary film, including short reviews, links to excellent and more detailed blu-ray movie reviews and the movie or video trailer or clip. You will also find links to buy The Magic of Flight from Amazon. Amazon is very competitive with their pricing. They are most often priced considerably lower than the recommended list price plus, if your order totals $25 or more, they offer FREE shipping.

Amazon Customer Review

As always, customers may have been disappointed with the length of this Imax film. (It is just 37 minutes long.) However, they were not disappointed with the footage, which is amazing in high definition. Reportedly, it costs somewhere in the vicinity of a million dollars a minute to make this IMAX footage...
