Really loved this lens - I saw Mary Wickes in many TV shows and movies and never knew her name. What an innocent time. Angel Blessed.

The photograph of Lucille Ball with Vivian Vance, Mary Wickes, Mary Jane Croft, Hazel Pierce....does not include Carole Cook at the end of the line. That is another actress.

Love Mary Wickes, as far as "The Man Who Came To Dinner," didn't she, several decades after doing the movie, reprise her role in a television version? I believe she did. Also Mary Wickes went with Lucille Ball to see Vivian Vance for the last time. Although all were aware of the fact that Miss Vance was dying, nothing was said and it was laughter all around. After the visit and driving down the driveway Miss Wickes looked over at Lucille Ball and Miss Ball was demolished in tears. Miss Wickes was true character actress who dies in harness. I will miss her, but we have so much left to enjoy.

I just watched Sister Act and thought Mary Wickes was terrific. I loved her in every movie or show that she was in. She was a true talent and there will never be an actress that could fill her shoes.
