The Men Who Stare At Goats: True Story? A ShadowSphere Review

Updated on July 26, 2014

The First Earth Battalion

A very underrated film that came out in 2009. Getting only 2 1/2 to 3 star reviews. I on the other hand very much enjoyed this movie. Easily giving it a 4 1/2 possibly 5 stars. The Movie is actually based off a book by the same title. That in which has very true things that actually happened in our own army and CIA.

Spoilers May Be Present. (But come on it's a 5 year old movie)

Things such as Remote Viewing, Cloud Bursting, and killing of a goat just by staring at it. It may seem strange but could it be true? Well the only one I've tried was cloud bursting and it works. At least it seems like it and to a couple of other people I had try it.

Ewan McGregor (funny that he is in this movie with all the Star Wars references) plays a reporter that is actually based off the writer of the book. Acts as the voice of the audience questioning all the craziness that happens through out the movie. The rest of the cast are well known actors (image to the left) that make this film very entertaining to see them together.

Project Jedi

This whole line of thinking was to come up with ideas and create "psychic spies". Basically, Super Soldiers. Who wouldn't want powers like these? Who knows if all the claims are completely true but after the movie is over. You kinda hope it is so you can do it. If you haven't got a chance to see this by now you should definitely give it a try. At the very least you'll get some good laughs out of it.

Get the movie or the book Here.

Goats Declassified - Also included in the DVD of The Men Who Stare At Goats.

Cloud Bursting - I thought I'd try this. It actually works, believe it or not.

Give It A Try - Just concentrate on a cloud and think of it disappearing.
