Moon Geun Young
Talented Young Actress, Moon Geun Young
Moon Geun Young is the damsel in distress in the popular South Korean drama, Marry Me, Mary! where she was paired with one of the most talented actors of today -- Jang Geun Suk.
In year 2000, I can remember Moon Geun Young played the role of young Eun-Seo Yun/Choi in the Korean drama, Autumn Fairy Tale ~ a drama that was a big success all across Asia. I have also seen her in the horror flick, A Tale of Two Sisters.
At such an early age, she had already won a prestigious award ~ Best Young Actress Award ~ for her role in Autumn In my Heart (aka Autumn Fairy Tale)
She was tagged as "Gukmin yeo-dong-saeng" which means "the nation's younger sister for her cute and younger sister-like image.
Prior to her drama, Marry Me, Mary (aka Mary Stayed Out All Night) she also portrayed one of the lead roles in the drama, Cinderella Sister

A story about two girls switched at birth. One was raised in a wealthy home and the other was raised in poverty. Eun Soo (Song Hye Gyo) lived a plentiful life until one day she had an accident when she was 14 years old and was hospitalized. This is when her life changed forever and she learned the truth that the family she had always known was not hers. Saddened by the truth, the reality was that each girl be returned to her rightful birth parent. Eun Soo dearly misses the family that had raised her. She has to depart the mom, dad, and brother whom had loved her very much. Years later she meets the brother that she grew up with. They make a conscious decision that since they are not related by blood, they can date each other. Are they mistaking their longing for one another as passionate love or sibling love? Will their family accept their blossoming relationship? Autumn Tale, Autumn Story, Autumn in my Heart will challenge your views about love. Can love exist between two people when the world around them says it's wrong?
Two young sisters recovering from an unnamed trauma must face a mysterious past in this excellent South Korean shocker. A worldwide hit upon its release and based on an old Korean fairy tale; two sisters (wonderfully played by Su-jeong Lim and Geun-yeong Mun) come to live with their cold and distant father and turn-on-a-dime stepmother in a house where nothing is as it seems. A wonderfully haunting score, starkly beautiful imagery, and a labyrinthine plot that twists and turns at every dark corner all set the stage for a riveting and often terrifying guessing game of a movie. Equal parts drama, mystery, and ghost story, A Tale of Two Sisters is a richly complex and challenging cinematic treat that may very well demand repeat viewings. --Matt Wold
