Unfriended is a 2015 horror film directed by Levan Gabriadze. It was released in theaters on April 17, 2015, after a successful premier at the Fantasia Festival in July 2014. Shelley Hennig stars as one of a group of friends who find themselves being haunted by a mysterious being who uses their dead friend’s account to send them messages. He longs for a change, and commits thoughtcrime after having an affair with Julia, an Outer Party worker. They get caught by the Thought Police, subjecting them to rehabilitation. Winston reverts back to following orders, unable to think and feel for himself. Soon, he learns that his thoughts and feelings are not the only ones taken away from him, but his very existence as well.
