Movies to Watch Again and Again
My Personal Recommendations of Good Movies
Although I wouldn't describe myself as a movie buff, there are some films that grab me and won't let go. These films stick in my mind and every time I watch one it feels fresh and satisfying.
Below you'll see my top ten movies that I watch over and over. I hope I can convey to you how special these films are, so you can watch them and add them to your list of favorite movies. Thanks to You Tube, I can share either the movie trailer or a clip from the movie or an interview about the movie.
They are an eclectic bunch from hit comedies to obscure foreign films.
Fabulous movie that will make you want to move to Tuscany. Romance at its best.
A classic dark movie from 1970. Ruth Gordon is so very memorable.

Clip from the movie, "Raising Arizona"
This is a hysterical scene from the 1987 comedy movie, "Raising Arizona". H.I. McDunnough (Nicolas Cage), an ex-convict, tries to steal some "Huggies" diapers for the baby that he and his wife, an ex-cop, kidnapped.

Steel Magnolias - Classic Southern Dialogue
This is the classic story filmed in Nachitoches, Louisiana about strong southern women coming together around Shelby's tragic illness. With Sally Field, Shirley McClain, Julia Roberts, Dolly Parton, Olympia Dukakis and Darryl Hannah, you couldn't ask for a better ensemble. Full of memorable lines and dialogue that still seems timely, this is one I've watched over and over and I know quite a few people who have done the same. It will make you laugh and cry.
"Miss Truvy, I promise that my personal tragedy will not interfere with my ability to do good hair."
Theatrical Trailer for Steel Magnolias
Whoopie Goldberg brings marvelous energy to this movie as the reluctant psychic trying to get the ghost's (Patrick Swayse's) warning to Demi Moore before it is too late. Moore doesn't realize that her lover's death was far from random violence and now she is at risk from the same source.
The music (Unchained Melody) fits the movie perfectly.
The Movie Trailer for Ghost
This definitely goes on my list of all-time-favorites. Demi Moore is beautiful as the grieving girlfriend, while Patrick Swayze projects the appropriate anger, sex appeal, and bafflement as the dead boyfriend, now a ghost. He badgers Whoopi Goldberg into helping him communicate with Demi.
Whoopi is funny! The scenes between the two lovers (before and after death) are quite touching and romantic. The action is dramatic and suspenseful as Swayze realizes who had him killed and that Moore is now in danger.
Great Movie! (review by Virginia Allain on Amazon)
