My First Album Bought: Mothership

Updated on September 19, 2014

My Taste in Music and The First Album I Bought For Myself

It has been such a long time since I've actually bought a physical album. In fact the first and only album I ever bought was in CD form and it was a Led Zeppelin album called Mothership. I bought it in the spur of the moment cause well I didn't have one CD and it was a great deal. It has some of the best songs by this band. From "Communication Breakdown" to "Stairway to Heaven" were some great times listening to some great music. Almost every Track I enjoyed with a few exceptions that I had to press that skip button. But, that was mostly on the second CD. I Burned out these tracks playing them over and over. I used to listen to them while I worked out. Until I realized I needed some more pump up quality music to work out harder.

If you've been living in a cave some where and haven't heard this band you have got to try them out it's better than a lot of the music out these days. All the songs that come with this set of CDs are in the second picture below. Some of my favorite songs you can listen to in the videos below including: Stairway to Heaven, Whole Lotta Love, Immigrant Song, When The Levee Breaks and Black Dog.

I actually wasn't into music that much as a kid. Not that I didn't enjoy it from time to time. It was just I never cared to remember the names of bands or even the title of a song. I never really followed anybody in music ever. I started enjoying music more around freshman year of High School but still didn't care to know about the people that made the music. In fact the first music I got into were bands that my family were into including Led Zeppelin, War, Queen, Journey, The Doors and AC/DC. There were more than that but those are the ones I remember and of course there is always Michael Jackson songs. To this day I still listen to all those bands and more that I've grown fond of like Metallica, System of a Down (the points behind their songs are the best part), The Who, 3 doors down (Kryptonite mostly), and a few more that I just can't remember their names at the moment.

What was your first album? Write about it on Squidoo here or just let me know in a comment. Did you always like music? Were you a groupie of a fan?

Zepplin was so huge back in the day. People used to actually get into arguments over who was better, them or the Who. Personally, I have to side with Zepplin.

@Rhonda Lytle: Really, I never heard that (but like I said wasn't that into music back then). I personally like them both.
