NCIS - America's Favorite TV Series
NCIS is on top of my most favorite TV shows and I am happy that this show is Americas favorite TV series. I can't wait for the next season, but while I wait for the next season I am happy to sit down and watch any episode that is aired, or better still pop a DVD into the player and feast on earlier episodes.
Each episode is like visiting friends and family, catching up with what they have been doing, crying with them when they are hurt, or forgetting myself and shouting a warning to a character that there is a danger around the corner, or just about falling off my seat because I forgot that a shop or house or car was going to explode.
I have lived so much with Gibbs, Tony, Ziva, Abby, McGee and Ducky, I know about their families, the problems, the times when they lose someone special, the characters have share all this with me, every episode is a visit to a much loved place.
But that is not the most endearing part of this show; mixed in with the tragedy of the crimes, and the personal lives of the characters is a mad unpredictable sense of humor, that outbreaks in the most unexpected situations and places, with just the right touch to make bad things a little better.
I find it hard to believe that the show has finished the eleventh season. It is like seeing a child grow up, only when a child reaches a milestone age, like twelve, you realize that time has flown by. But the best thing about a TV series is that I can revisit the earlier episodes. A lot has happened to the characters in eleven seasons, and sometimes I find that I forget some things. Especially Ducky's stories, that never seem to get finished.
The first season where my NCIS journey began.
Second Season, memories are made while watching this series.
Even better for anyone who has to have a NCIS in their week.
November 19, 2003 was my introduction to Ellie Bishop, this character played by Emily Wickersham is slowly finding her place as the NCIS teams new probationary agent. I have to confess I was not sure about Ellie Bishop being able to fill the place held by agent Ziva David and before her Caitlin Todd, but under the guiding hands of Gibbs I can see that Bishop will be cut and polished into another awesome NCIS agent.
