Watch out American Idol, there is a new WGWG in town and he is heading straight into the hearts of Idol fans worldwide.

Sporting a killer smile and oozing charisma, Nick Fradiani (28) wowed judges and viewers alike with his take on Peter Gabriel's 'In Your Eyes' during the Season XIV New York auditions. His raspy voice and accomplished strumming proved to be a winning combination earning him 3 'Yes' votes from the judges.

No stranger to the reality TV circuit the Connecticut native together with his band Beach Avenue entered the ninth season of the highly acclaimed America's Got Talent. The band got eliminated during the dreaded Judgment Week amidst shock and disappointment from their rapidly growing fan base. Named after the street where it originated, Beach Avenue has opened for well-known acts such as Third Eye Blind, Jefferson Starship and Sammy Adams.

Talent undoubtedly runs in the Fradiani family with Nick's father, Nick Fradiani Sr, being an accomplished musician himself. Having released his first album back in 1981 Nick Sr is more than able to guide his talented son towards the greatness he is destined for.

Since Phillip Phillips' win in 2012 American Idol has not only failed to produce a noteworthy winner but has also seen a steady decline in viewers.

What the franchise is in desperate need of is a winner who not only possesses a mass of genuine musical talent but also enough drive and self-discipline to propel him/herself into the highly competitive music industry.

There are 2 type of talent show entrants. The first yearns for a quick claim to fame, for overnight success. The second lives for their art, relishes the long hours and hard work required to be a success and sees Idols as a much-needed stepping stone towards realizing their dreams.

Nick Fradiani is the epitome of the latter and has already been hailed by some as the savior of the American talent show. His talent speaks for itself and his warm, friendly demeanor promises to win him many a fan during his Idol journey and beyond. Win or lose, this handsome guy with the quick smile has forced the world to take notice of what he has to offer and there is no doubt that his star will continue to shine brightly long after the season winner has been announced.
