Notting Hill: Great movie to watch over again!

Updated on July 3, 2014

What can I say about this movie?? Well.. Its like "A dream come true". For me it was worth of another try watching the said film, it was dazzling to see a couple of opposite world met somehow in a street named Notting Hill and started their love story from then on.

This romantic comedy film was said one of the highest grossing movie in British film in year 1999. (So it was really a great movie!). That's is why Notting Hill will really satisfy you if you are keen to an enchanting love story of two person collide from a different realm of life.

The story started when William "Will" Thacker ( Hugh Grant ) met Hollywood Star Anna Scott ( Julia Roberts ) in his own bookstore. But Will didn't recognize Anna on first few minutes of their encounter, but after that moment and Anna got out of his store, and bought some stuff, he just then realized a Hollywood Star just came in on his shop. Slightly amaze by the fact it happen, Will still need to start off on his usual routine of his everyday life. Not knowing that he and Anna will again collide on that same morning on the street and even spills orange juice to her clothes. Then that's how they started to know each other by offering Anna his place nearby so that she can change. Then the best part of this scene was when Anna gave Will a kiss to thank him for his thoughtfulness. From then on they've got the mutual understanding that there is some sort of attraction that hard to explain between them. So when Will have the chance to contact and see Anna again he grab the opportunity, because of this he even accidentally got in to her press interview schedule and made a funny moment with her just to have her time. After that they have manage to meet and agreed to go off to birthday celebration of Will's sister named Honey ( Emma Chambers ).

This part of the movie is one of the funny scene because of Will's friend Bernie ( Hugh Bonneville ),during on Honeys Birthday, after meeting and talking to Anna he didn't recognize her at all, they even shared how much money did Anna made on her last film. How amusing a guy like Bernie didn't recognized a Hollywood Star.

From that evening a more lovable and humorous scene that you will enjoy while Will and Anna getting to know more each other before they will have a conflict on their set up. Which started when will meets Jeff King ( Alec Baldwin ) a famous film star and American Boyfriend of Anna, who was not even aware that Anna was not happy anymore with him. From there Will realize that he must leave and forget Anna, so he decided not to think of her anymore. He get back to his old routine while Anna get back on making another film.

Some conflict of this movie gave more realization that having a star studded life was so hard to endure, like what inside Annas' heart that she like a simpler life that only Will can offer to her.

To make the story short, they of course ended up happy and shared the simple time of their life in a bench inside London Square.

For those who are interested in this movie and know more about the enchanting tale of their love, see it and discover it by yourself. For I guarantee it will make you smile... Happy Viewing!!!
