Peanuts Comic Strip
The Peanuts Comic Strip Characters
Do you ever read the Peanuts Comic Strip or books? Did you ever watch Peanuts cartoons? When I was a teenager, I was totally engrossed by the Peanuts characters. I read the Peanuts Comic strip every day. I bought Peanuts books, decorations, and nick nacks. I watched all the Charlie Brown specials on TV. I even had Peanuts linens on my bed. Even after I went to college, my mother wanted to throw them away. I begged her not to and insisted on using them when I came home from school. In English class we were supposed to write an autobiography. I wrote it as a dialog amoung the Peanuts characters discussing and describing me. It was really a good tool to talk about myself. At my Sweet Sixteen party I had an 18 inch cardboard Charlie Brown as my center piece - which everyone signed. (see the pictures on the left and below)
These are some of my favorite expressions from the Peanuts gang
Good grief, Charlie Brown!
Five cents, please. (Lucy)
It was a dark and stormy night ... (Snoopy)
You're weird, sir! (Marcie)
People always expect more of you when you have naturally curly hair! (Frieda)

My Peanuts Memorabilia
I loved Colorforms when I was a little kid. My closet was full of different boxes of colorforms.
My college roommate gave this to me for my birthday. It was one of my favorite gifts that year.
I had this bank sitting on the shelves above my bed when I was growing up. I put my spare change in it every night.
Don't tell my sister, but I took hers after I filled mine up.
