Pink Panther Theme - How To Play & Sheet Music
Henry Mancini's Masterpiece Explained
The Theme for The Pink Panther is one of the most iconic tunes in cinema history. It was written in 1963 for the opening animated sequence of the first of many Pink Panther Films. The music was subsequently also used in the spin-off TV animated series, which featured the actual Pink Panther itself. The instrumental theme was written by the American composer Henry Mancini, who also wrote The Peter Gunn Theme. The track proved to be so strong, it was released as a single and, it hit the top 10 in the US and won three Grammy Awards.
