Pooch Party Pictures
Cute Dog Photos
Perry Fence Company of Fayetteville, Pa., hosted a Pooch Party on Saturday, June 25, 2011. Proceeds from the event benefited the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter, located near Cumberland Valley, Pa. The following are just a few of the pictures I captured at the event. Enjoy!
"Okay, so my hair is a little messed up. But I've got great teeth!"
Harry, a Jack Russell-Chinese Crested mix, is the aftermath of a rising number of foreclosures in the Hagerstown, Md. area. He was found by a realtor in a ditch as the result of being put out.
"I was going to foster him, but I fell in love with him," said Julle Bahr of Chambersburg, Pa., Harry's new owner.
"A daisy in the sun . . . "
"I'm ready to roll on out of here in my stroller. Anybody up for Tacos?"
"I've got it all going on, baby! If you could only see behind these shades."
"I wanna treat! Me, too. Me three. We promise we'll hold still for the camera! Well, maybe."
"I'm dreaming of a home where the antelope roam . . . Okay. I'll just settle for a home. Any takers? I'm up for adoption!" Contact the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter.
Blue is an English Coonhound around 5-6 years of age. He came to the shelter as a stray.
"Blue is one of our senior residents, and he has earned that title because he has been there for more than a year," said Linda Asper, a shelter volunteer.
Asper noted that Blue has been adopted out five or six different times, but keeps coming back to the animal shelter. She said he is a good house dog, but just needs someone who understands the breed, and a place to run.
"He loves to ride in the car. He just sits in the front seat like it's his car!" She added.
Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter does permit out-of-state adoptions; however, you must come to the shelter to pick up. For more details, visit their website.
