Premium Rush Soundtrack Features Songs From The Who, Lykke Li, My Chemical Romance, Smith Westerns & Sleigh Bells

Updated on July 26, 2013

Music & Songs Premium Rush OST

The Who's "Baba O'Riley" is an inspired song choice for the Premium Rush Soundtrack don't you think? I've always thought that wacked out synth pattern sounded like some kind of spinning wheel and Who Tab reveals the magic behind the famous song as simply being a hepped up Lowrey organ spun through a sequencer set to a repetitious marimba beat which gives it that whirling sound.

Other songs on the Premium Rush O.S.T. includes music by The Raconteurs, Manchester Orchestra, Sleigh Bells, Smith Westerns, My Chemical Romance, Lykke Li and Titus Andronicus all songs which could easily pop up on an indie film release and are right at home in giving this end of summer action movie an edgy feel.

The Soundtrack for Premium Rush is being composed by David Sardy (Zombieland, Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance, 21). No word on whether the score will be released.

Premium Rush stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt Lincoln, Looper, 50/50, Michael Shannon Take Shelter, Dania Ramirez American Reunion and Jamie Chung The Hangover Part II. Release Date: August 24, 2012.

Premium Rush Action Featurette - Behind the Scenes Video

Why is the number 31 significant to Joseph Gordon-Levitt? The young actor got 31 stitches from plowing into the back window of a taxicab. Ouch! There's an actor that's seriously committed to his craft. The director admits it wasn't exactly the brightest idea to put one of today's young actors in a bike in New York city traffic at full speed but the movie got made with Gordon-Levitt in one piece.

Spoiler Alert: If you're a bit squeamish about blood, skip past the video after the featurette below which shows JGL proudly showing his bloody arm immediately after the accident.
