Psych: The Complete Series
Psych: The Complete Series

Any Psych-O will love having the complete series of Psych on DVD. The best part about this DVD box set is that it features the bromances' signature fruit - the pineapple.

I love comedies and I love detective shows, so Psych is the perfect show for me. This dramatic comedy features two best friends, Shawn Spencer (James Roday) and Burton "Gus" Guster (Dule HIll). Shawn and Gus have been best friends since childhood and have a bond that would make most friends envious. Also starring in the show is Shawn's dad, Henry Spencer (Corbin Bernsen). Shawn and his dad have a difficult relationship, mostly fueled by Shawn's irresponsible behavior. When the show began in 2006, Shawn became an accidental detective when he used his amazing intuitive powers to solve a case that the police were struggling with. Unwilling to admit to his father, a former police officer, that he had a gift for police work, Shawn instead proclaimed to be a psychic.

How Psych was Created

After proclaiming to be a psychic, Shawn talked his best friend, Gus, a pharmaceutical representative, into being his business partner. Reluctantly, Gus agreed and Psych, a detective agency in Santa Barbara was born. Shawn and Gus often work with the local police department to solve difficult crimes. Everyone, except Gus and Henry, believe Shawn is a psychic, and to cover his deception hilarity often incurs.

The Rest of the Psych Cast

Joining in the hilarious action is Juliet O'Hara (Maggie Lawson), a Santa Barbara police detective, and Shawn's on again/off again girlfriend, Carlton Lassiter (Timothy Omundson), O'Hara's partner, lead detective, and arch nemesis of Shawn Spencer, and Captain Karen Vick (Kirsten Nelson). Every week Shawn and Gus race to solve a case for Santa Barbara's finest and must protect Shawn's secret at the same time.

I love this show because the dynamic between Shawn and Gus is pure comedic genius. In fact, I will go as far as to say the friendship between Shawn and Gus may be the best "bromance" ever written. They draw the audience in with their witty humor and I love to try to solve the case right along with Shawn. The best part is, even though this is a detective show, I can watch Psych with my young daughter because there isn't the normal blood, guts, and violence that is so prevalent in other detective shows.

Some of the Best Psych Clips and a Video of my Daughter making Sad Gus Faces.

My 10-year-old daughter is a huge fan of Burton "Gus" Guster (Dule Hill) and I love Shawn Spencer (James Roday). If you have ever seen an episode of Psych, chances are you have seen Gus making "sad Gus faces." Below, you will see clips from my favorite Psych episodes and a YouTube video of my daughter making sad Gus faces.

I love the show! I love all of them! I doubt Psych is complete without each and everyone on it.. I love the bond between Shawn and Gus, and how they work well together.. It's just a fun show

I love this show. Not sure about the bromance thing... so can't reliably remember.
