Trading Places, the Movie

Set in Philadelphia and New York City, this 1983 movie is a classic, in my book. With Eddie Murphy and Dan Ackroyd in role reversals, how can you go wrong?

This funny film also stars Senator Al Franken!

Fun in Philly

Philadelphia is the setting for Trading Places. Here are some iconic items that scream Philly.

Blast from the Past

Blast from the Past

This light-hearted look at the atom bomb in the mid-century makes for good fun. Adam is raised in a bunker by his mother and father for 35 years. When Adam can finally go "up there" literally a whole new world awaits.

Brendan Fraser is Adam and Alicia Silverstone is Eve.

Add Some 1950s Decor to Your Home

The movie Blast from the Past is set in the 1950s and present day. Get some retro decor for your home.

Office Space - A Work-related Classic

If you've ever worked in a cubicle or punched a clock and spent your days in utter monotony, you might relate to Office Space.

This comedy has so many great quotes. And it raised awareness of how cool a red stapler can be.

Feels Good To Be a Gangsta - Have You Ever Wanted to Do Some Damage to an Office Machine?

Damn, It Feels Good to be a Gangsta is a classic song from Office Space, which helps set the mood for destruction of the fax machine.

Juno, a Laugh Out Loud Funny Movie

Juno

Juno is a funny movie about a serious topic: teenage pregnancy. If you haven't seen it, you really need to!

Juno is hilarious from start to finish. The writing is so clever and the actors really do this film justice.

It's fairly difficult for me to choose a favorite comedy of the many I have seen through the years, but because it is one of the more recent I have seen, I'd have to say I loved "The Hangover." I nearly died from lack of oxygen laughing doubled over during the scene at the Police Station with the classroom full of kids.

I prefer to watch comedy over any other genre.....Life is dramatic and adventurous enough for me without also experiencing these things on screen.

      Nice Hub, Scarlett.....Up+++

I didn't do to well. "Oh, Brother, Where Art Thou" is one of my favorite movies of all time. I see you have the soundtrack above. I recommend it. It's also one of my favorite albums.

I only saw just one of the movies but still had to guess for the quiz as I saw it in German language. Luckily I guessed right to not have everything wrong.

I've only seen "O Brother" of this list, and I still howl every time I watch it. The line I've been using a lot since the movie came out is from John Turturro's character: "That just don't make no sense!" And yup, I say it just the way he does. :-)

@Zebedee32: I have to apologize. On the O Brother, Where Art Thou? quizzes, I had the wrong answer selected. It's fixed now though! Thanks for dropping by!
