Robin Williams Movies And Collectibles

Updated on August 13, 2014

Robin Williams Hollywood's Highly Talented Funny Man

Actor Robin Williams was a stand up comic when he was picked for the lead role in the television show Mork And Mindy which aired from 1978-1982.

The rest is pretty much history, as Robin's ability to ad-lib and to make every role his own set him on the road to stardom.

He has played many comic roles, in movies like Popeye, Mrs Doubtfire, Flubber and Nine Months. He has played loveable characters in family movies like Jumanji, Hook and Jack.

Robin Williams has also played more serious roles, like in Good Morning Vietnam, The Dead Poets Society, The Fisher King, Awakenings, Patch Adams and the dark look into the afterlife of What Dreams May Come.

I don't know of anyone who doesn't like at least a few of his movies, so please join with me and help celebrate the work of Robin Williams, Hollywood's Funny Man.

Robin Williams will always have a place in my heart. I grew up in San Francisco, where he is from, and saw him once in a store where he was shopping for a TV. This was around 1980, when I was 12. My mom made me go up to him (she thought a child would be less threatening than an adult), and I told him how much I loved 'Mork and Mindy'. This was right after the show was canceled. Robin was very kind to me, and I'll always appreciate that.

Robin Williams is one of my all time favorite actors. I loved him in Mork and Mindy and have followed his movies since then. Every time I see his smiling face I have to smile.

I voted for The Night Listener because I loved the book and loved the movie too. Toni Collette did a great job along with Robin Williams. Great lens, Tony!

Wow, Tony! That Robin Williams is such a prolific actor ... who seriously knew, with Mork and Mindy, what capabilities he had in him!

I went to a "Mork & Mindy" taping many years ago, just when Robin Williams was becoming a household name. He was such a star presence, even back then. I enjoy him in serious roles, especially when he played a disgraced doctor in "Dead Again." I don't think he even got a credit for that one.

I love Robin Williams, he is so nice too. I met him while he was in my hometown of Keene, NH filming Jumanji. He was in the outfit and makeup for when he first returned from the jungle, he spoke to me just walking by, saying "Hi, thanks for putting up with all of us in your town."

I love all his movies. Wonderful Lens!
