@abakes98 lm: I totally get what you mean. I agree there has to be more. Sometimes it's fun to escape and imagine ourselves in a different environment from which we live in. Who knows of all of the wonders that really exist.

My favorite thing in science fiction? It's the same reason I like RPG's and comics/ comic related material. At some point, when growing up, I realized I wasn't able to do the things I thought I could someday do. Simply, it's not the same bland ol' Earthly everyday. I can sit and enjoy other genres with my wife; I'm not a bruiser who doesn't appreciate other things, but I get lost in these worlds and lives when I watch and read them. I wish for just one minute I could have a try at something I have always believed exists, on some similar level anyway, in other corners of the universe. The reality of our physics and boundaries hit me at some point when I was very young and a wishful cloud of want has been hanging over my head since. Sometimes, when I'm watching something, I'm there, if you know what I mean. I can't tell you how many times she's screamed my name and when I look at her she tells me she said my name several times. This can't be all there is.
