Sex and the City Movie Sequels

Updated on September 25, 2012

Sex and the City Movie

Absolutely loved the TV show. Adored the froth, fashion, fun and heartbreak of the movie as well. A peek at Carrie's walk-in closet was worth the price of admission itself.

Don't know what all the negative fuss was about when critics panned Sex and the City 2. It was great to see the girls back together and a fun romp overseas. Would love to see a Sex and the City 3 but there's talk that the high priced salaries and aging actresses may make it prohibitive for another sequel.

There's now talk of a Sex and the City Movie Prequel to air on the CW. At one time Miley Cyrus was rumored to be the possible lead, but now Gossip Girl's Blake Lively is the latest Carrie rumor according to

Sex and The City - Telling the Fairytale - Interview Clip of Sarah Jessica Parker & Screenwriter MIchael Patrick King

If you haven't yet seen the first Sex and the City DVD, do check out the behind the scenes commentary by Michael Patrick King. Very interesting as he talks about the strong collaboration with stylist Patricia Fields and how the clothes are not just mere frivolous extraneous props but how they play an integral part in conveying a character's emotions to help tell the story.

Even though I've seen SATC-the movie on Netflix, even though I know what's coming, I tear up everytime with Big and Carrie, the thrill of seeing the apartment with the built-in closet and am still charmed by Big's winning smile.

Match Your Man

Can't Wait For the Next Sex and the City Movie Sequel

The Sex and the City Website have a cute interactive quiz which asks:

"Ever wonder which of the male Sex and the City characters you'd be compatible with?"

You then answer questions about your husband, boyfriend or your ideal man to reveal which Sex and the City guy would make a perfect match.

The quiz didn't include Alexander Petrovsky or Aidan but I wished I would have been hooked up with Mr. Big or Samantha's boy toy. But instead, in thinking about my husband, apparently I hooked up with the equivalent of Harry. Although my husband's cuter :D. See his picture here.

The movie produced two fabulous soundtracks. Great gifts for Valentine's Day, birthdays, Mother's Day or to just treat yourself well just because like Samantha you're equally fabulous and deserve it. The DVDs for the entire television series were close to three hundred dollars are now only $99.99.

I enjoyed the 1st film, but found the 2nd one too long and too angst ridden. I really did love the tv show but feel that it's run its course now. Enjoyed your lens very much. Thanks. :-)

Nice lens and look forward to seeing you are a Giant.

However, the movie was just a longer TV episode. I like it, but as that. If they do another one it should be a made for TV,movie. This didn't translate to the big screen, it was just another show, fun, but no more.
