All About Sid the Science Kid

Sid the Science Kid is a computer-animated show by Jim Henson Productions that debuted on PBS Kids on September 1, 2008. (Here's some Sid trivia: Sid was originally going to be called Josh, and "What's the Big Idea?" was the working title for the show.) The show focuses on Sid and his preschool friends, Gabriela, Gerald, and May, as they explore science-themed topics with their teacher, Miss Susie.

Each day, Sid finds himself with a question about the world around him. He explores the answers throughout the day with the help of his family, friends, and teacher. Topics include things like senses, health, and weather. The focus is on scientific methods and themes, with lots of jokes, songs, and fun along the way.

I think an excellent show for Sid the Science Kid would be to roast brussels sprouts ... and then talk about the science of the "smell" ... you know! Booyah!!!

Gabriela's voice sounds just like the actress/comedian Kristen Schaal's (aka Mel from Flight of the Conchords). I was surprised to see that that wasn't her voice! Her voice sounds like that naturally!
