The Social Network Movie

The Social Network Movie is about Mark Zuckerberg and how he created Facebook and became a billionaire in his early 20s. Zuckerberg may have started Facebook, but he didn't do it all by himself. Some people believe that he even stole the idea. It's a fascinating story that made for a fascinating movie.

The Social Network is a great movie not because it is well made and not because of style or visual cleverness. It was named the best movie of 2010 by the National Society of Film Critics, who gave awards to its director, star and screenwriter. The Film Critcs also also named Jesse Eisenberg, who played the role of Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, as best actor. The Social Network movie went on to receive eight Academy Award nominations and won in three categories including best Writing (adapted screenplay), best music (original score) and best film editing, a telling testament to just how good this picture was.

"They all laughed at college nerd Mark Zuckerberg, whose idea for a social-networking site made him a billionaire. And they all laughed at the idea of a Facebook movie, except writer Aaron Sorkin and director David Fincher, merely two of the more extravagantly talented filmmakers around. The Social Network is a galloping piece of entertainment, a smart ride with smart people who sometimes do dumb things.” - Robert Horton

I haven't seen the movie yet, but I think I should watch it. Maybe I'll pick up some good entrepreneurial tips, including what NOT to do.
