Gogeta(Dragon Ball Z Profile)

Updated on February 12, 2010

"There's no way you can win..."

This is Gogeta, born as a result of Goku and Vegeta merging bodies through the Fusion Dance method. He appears in Dragon Ball Z Movie 12: Fusion Reborn as Janemba's opponent.

Gogeta's appearance greatly resembles that of adult Gotenks', wearing the same Metamorean-clothing that seems to be a trademark of those who taught Goku the Fusion Dance Technique.

Super Saiyan 3 Goku was fighting an even match against Super Janemba. However, due to the huge amount of power required to maintain the nearly impractical Super Saiyan 3 form, Goku was unable to take the fight to the finish, and he began losing to Janemba. Eventually, Vegeta showed up to take Goku's place. At first, Vegeta was putting up a good fight with the demon as a Super Saiyan 2, but was also beaten and nearly killed by Janemba's long arm.

Later, after successfully fusing into Gogeta, peace was easily brought back in a matter of seconds.

Power Level

There's almost no difference between Super Gogeta's and Super Vegito's power level, but since the Potara Earrings that create Vegito provide a little boost in power, Super Vegito is slightly stronger than Super Gogeta but not that much stronger. If Super Vegito was capable of defeating Super Buu, Gogeta would be able to do it as well. Gogeta is deadlier than Vegito because he doesn't seem to like wasting his time with his opponent, and he eliminated Janemba within roughly a minute.

Super Saiyan Gogeta is much stronger than Super Saiyan 3 Goku. He has shown the ability to launch several rainbow-colored energy-punches(though it is most likely that Vegito is also capable of doing the same technique), similar to Janemba's Dimension-Sword attack, from a distance that can severely damage his opponent, and he was fast enough to move near Janemba and kick him before the latter could even react and perform his Bunkai Teleportation. Gogeta's finishing-move, the Stardust Breaker(also dubbed the Soul Punisher), is also a rainbow-colored projectile that he throws at his opponent, mainly used to purify beings created by negative-energy such as Janemba. The Stardust Breaker would easily destroy typical villains that have weaker or no regenaration-abilities such as Bojack, Cell, or Broly in one shot by blowing their flesh into several tiny pieces. Gogeta is unofficially the second most powerful being in Dragon Ball Z anime' and manga, only being surpassed by his fusion counterpart.
