The Best Brad Pitt Movie

Updated on December 30, 2010

Meet Joe Black

I don't know anyone who does not like Brad Pitt. I have always been fond of his movies. My favorite one is Meet Joe Black where Brad Pitt plays Death as well as the guy in the coffee shop. I own this movie and have watched it many times. I think his performance in this movie is outstanding. I am also fond of Anthony Hopkins. I think both Brad and Anthony are both among the best actors of my day.

Meet Joe Black

If you don't have this, get it!

What is it about?

It is about a man of wealth and honor played by Anthony Hopkins whose performance was amazing. He starts to realize something is wrong with him and that death may be imminent. In walks Brad Pitt who starts out as just some guy in a coffee shop that Anthony's daughter likes and whom Brad's character likes back. Death causes and accident shortly after the two meet and takes Brad's body to use while he is studying Anthony's character so to speak. As death Brad announces himself to Anthony's character where he decides he will also stay at his home and be a part of his daily life which includes Anthony's character's daughter, a beauty who is a doctor. Well as in any classic love story Brad's character and the daughter (played by Claire Forlani). The problem is that death is breaking the laws of the universe by this love that should never be as Anthony's character reminds him. You will have to watch the movie to see how it all turns out but I love everyone's performance in this movie.

movie quote

Love is passion, obsession, someone you can't live without. If you don't start with that, what are you going to end up with? Fall head over heels. I say find someone you can love like crazy and who'll love you the same way back. And how do you find him? Forget your head and listen to your heart.

"Meet Joe Black" is a great movie! I've lost count of how many times my daughter and I have watched it together. I honestly believe the pairing of Brad Pitt and Anthony Hopkins in this movie is what made it so magical and memorable. Great lens!

I loved that movie. It's been a long time since I've seen it ... but I watched it twice. Definitely one of my favorite Brad movies, too. That and "Seven Years in Tibet." Great lens too!
