The Dark Knight Rises Bane Costume

Updated on September 13, 2014

Bane from The Dark Knight Rises will be one of the hottest halloween costumes again in 2013!

With The Dark Knight Rises standing as one of the top summer blockbusters of all time and Bane being one of Batman's greatest foes, it's a sure bet that the Bane costume will be one of the top selling costumes in 2012. If you want the best Bane mask for sale, and not a cheesy store-bought costume, then you're in luck because this lens will show you all of the important parts that will go into the best Bane costume.

The Dark Knight Rises has grossed over $448 million worldwide and marked the end of Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy. As iconic as the movies were, the characters have had a lasting impact on Halloween costumes and cosplay in general. Love him or hate him, Bane was imposing and makes for one heck of a Halloween costume.

Bane Mask

The Bane Mask

The most important part of any great Bane costume is the mask. Bane's mask causes intimidation and fear and a cheap knock-off mask will only leave people laughing. If you want the best Dark Knight Rises Bane costume, then shell out the big bucks here because this is the first and last thing that anyone is going to look at. Also remember that then better the mask, the more comfortable it will fit.

Though different from the mask of Bane in Batman comic books, the Bane mask from The Dark Knight Rises is both iconic and terrifying at the same time. Leaving the eyes open instead of covered allows for the character to show his intensity and emotion.

Bane Jacket

The Bane Jacket

Let's face it, you don't have the muscles to pull of Tom Hardy's Bane, so Bane's jacket is a must for you. As with the mask, going cheap with Bane's jacket will be like wearing a cardboard mask from the back of the cereal box. Second-best isn't good enough here. Go for the gold and people will remember you and your Bane costume.

Sure the Batman comic book version of Bane doesn't wear a jacket, but even monstrous bad guys get cold in the winter. Bane's leather jacket is large, imposing and all-around awesome.

Bane Vest

The Bane Vest

As with the other parts of Bane's costume, Bane's vest is completely unique. If you live in a colder area, you may be able skimp here, especially if you have a top-of-the-line Bane jacket, but why would you want to? Go all out and leave out no details. You'll thank me later.

Bane's vest is militarized yet stylish. Aside from looking awesome, it also gives Bane a place to stick his hands and after all, a good stance is important when you want to look intimidating.

Bane Pants

The Bane Pants

Don't try to get away with a pair of slacks here. Bane's pants with the unique front cargo pockets are unique and will make your costume stand out among the masses of Banes this halloween. Aside from looking like Bane from The Dark Knight Rises, you'll have plenty of space to keep your candy or prizes from any costume contests you'll be sure to win. Make sure your Bane is the best and get replica Bane pants.

Think about it, Bane is running around Gotham hiding the detonator. All he has to do is stick it in one of his many pockets and it will take Batman a while to find it. By that time, Gotham may be destroyed.

Bane Voice Modulator

The Bane Voice Modulator

If you really want to take your Bane costume over the top, be sure to get a Bane voice modulator. By now I'm sure you've heard how Bane's voice is garbled. You can try talking with marbles in your mouth, or you can buy a voice modulator that will fit inside of the mask and make you sound truly authentic.

Bane's voice is as intimidating as his look, so make sure you get this part down. You can practice and wind up with an aching throat or you can just buy a modulator. Be smart, be lazy, be both. Just buy it.

Thanks for telling me what I need, but where can I buy the Bane costume parts?
