Beautiful Women of the Middle East
The Most Beautiful Arab Women
Most of the news you hear from the Middle East is bad, but there are some bright spots here and there.
There is a thriving entertainment industry there with their very own stars.
So here are some of the most talented, and beautiful female singers in the Middle East.
Featuring Nancy Ajram, Elissa, Haifa Wehbe, Hind, Najwa Karam, Ishtar and Latifa.
Beautiful Lebanese singer Elissa (Elissar Zakaria Khoury) was born on October 27th, 1972 in Deir el Ahmar, Lebanon.
She has released nine studio albums and won more awards than you can shake a stick at.
(In the South that means a lot)
Among those awards, she was the first Lebanese to receive the World Music Award in 2005.
Elissa has sold over 15 million albums worldwide since her debut back in 1999.

Multi-platinum singer and Goodwill Ambassador for UNICEF Nancy Ajram was born on May 16th, 1983 in Achrafieh, Beirut, Lebanon.
She has sold over 30 million records worldwide, and is the 3rd highest selling female artist in Lebanese history.
She's so popular that Oprah Winfrey said she was one of the most influential personalities in the Middle East.
(But in all fairness, she also called her "the Britney Spears of the Middle East")
Nancy is also the official celebrity spokesperson for Coca-Cola in the Levant, Arabia and North Africa regions.
She has released seven albums so far and nine DVDs and live albums.
Gorgeous Haifa Wehbe (sometimes Wahbe) was born in Mahrouna, Lebanon on March 10th, 1976.
She is a singer, model and actress.
At the age of sixteen, Haifa won the Miss South Lebanon pageant, and she was a runner up for Miss Lebanon.
She released her debut album Houwa El-Zaman (It is Time) in 2002 and in 2004, Al Jamhouria newspaper voted Haifa the Best Young Arabic Female Singer.
Haifa has released four studio albums so far.
When she wed Egyptian businessman Ahmad Abu Husheima on April 24, 2009 in Beirut, Kim Kardashian attended the wedding.
Hind (or Hend) was born in the Kingdom of Bahrain on May 5th, 1979.
Her real name is Suhair, the musician Anwar Abdullah gave her the nickname Hind.
Hind released her first album Rabeie El Galb in 2000 and followed that up with three more albums, "Hind 2003" (2003), Al Ghroob (2005) and Hind 2008 (2008).
Her latest album Hind 2008 had songs that were sung in Khaleeji, Lebanese and Egyptian dialects and was recorded in Cairo, Bahrain, Dubai, Beirut, and Kuwait.
Syrian singer Mayada El Hennawi said that Hind was "one of today's greatest, most beautiful voices,".
Lebanese singer Najwa Karam was born in Zahle, Lebanon on February 26th, 1966.
She released her first album Ya Habayeb in 1989, but it didn't meet with a lot of commercial success.
Najwa released two more albums Shams el-Ghinnieh (1992) and Ana Ma'akon (1993) before finally hitting gold with 1994's Naghmet Hob.
Since then, she has released fourteen studio albums, two compilations and two live albums.
Ishtar is a little different from the other ladies so far in that she was born in Kiryat Atta, Israel on November 10th, 1968.
She sings in Arabic, Hebrew, French, Spanish, and English (and can speak passing Moroccan) and is probably best known in the Middle East as the front vocalist of the French based band Alabina.
Her real name is Esther (Eti) Zach, but she chose the name "Ishtar" because her grandmother used to call her Ester, which with her Egyptian accent, sounded like Ishtar.
Besides her work with Alabina, Ishtar has released five solo studio albums.
No this isn't our Queen Latifah, this is Latifa Bint Alayah Al Arfaoui, born in Manouba, Tunisia on February 14, 1968.
Latifa was a child prodigy, but didn't release her first album until her 1985 debut, Andak Shak? (Do you have doubt?).
Since then she has released almost thirty domestic and international albums.
Besides her albums, Latifa has released over 30 music videos, appeared in one movie, one play and played herself in the Arabic version of the TV show ER.
Lebanese model and TV host Hoda Fadel.
She was one of the hosts of Ghazl El Banat (aka Candy Girls) for Rotana Music TV.
Hoda and her older sister Fida caused quite a stir at Burning Man here in the US in 2009, when they were filmed dancing topless.
To cause a stir at Burning Man...you really have to be doing something.
