Numark Mixtrack Pro II USB DJ Controller with Integrated Audio Interface and Trigger Pads"

Updated on February 18, 2018

I was always a music lover and the art of DJing fascinated me. I used to listen to the mix shows they had on certain radio stations at certain times of the day back then in the 70's. It was all about the Technics DJ turntables that all DJ's needed to have. You would always see them at the nightclubs, It was like the signature product associated with the true DJ. If you didn't have them, it was probably because you couldn't afford them at the time. It was well made, durable, and beautiful to look at. I also remember that superior sound quality of the vinyl that cannot even be compared to what we have today coming from CD's and MP3's. But times has changed along with modern technology.

So I needed to change as well. I noticed one night at a very small cool t-shirt shop in downtown on a First Friday event that featured a DJ playing music out of what looks similarly like the one shown above. What is this small type of product called? I was told by someone later that they are called a midi controller?

And so it was all about MP3's now. It seems that the CD players and turntables have been replaced somewhat by this easy to carry console. It is used when you connect it to your computer with a DJ software to go with that. Your computer is where your music library are stored and the product like the one you see above is where your 2 turntables (so to speak) or jog wheels are provided along with mixing controls and special effects featured. This is so much easier for the deejays of today. It is a great product to have especially for small parties and to entertain guests. No more carrying crates full of heavy records. It is great for the wannabe starting out deejays. It is inexpensive to start with. It's like a recording studio in a box. Work on some re-mixing as well. You can still do some of the tricks that will amaze such as scratching, looping, etc.,along with many other special effects. No more needle skipping and the struggling with keeping the beats matched on time. It practically does it all for you. And best of all... this doesn't require a whole lot of space.

But all you need along to go with that are some great quality DJ headphones, speakers, and a computer and there you're set ! So if you ever wanted to create music or learn how to deejay at a club, then this is for you! The price is reasonable and I highly recommend this product!  It would also make a perfect holiday gift !
