The Princess' Man Brief Synopsis
The drama portrays the period during King Munjong, King Danjong & King Sejo of Joseon era. When King Danjong's father, King Munjong of Joseon passed away, he was only 12 years old, hence, the government was ruled by Premier Hwang Bo In and his vice-premier, General Kim Jong So.
King Munjong is the son of King Sejong's the Great, King Munjong's brothers Grand Prince Su Yang (who later on became King Sejo) and Grand Prince Anpyeong were trying to take control the Kingdom who's ruled by Premier Hwang Bo In and General Kim Jong So. In year 1453, Grand Prince Su Yang killed General Kim Jong So and betrayed his own brother by putting him to death. In 1455, he asked King Danjong to abdicate and he took over the kingdom as the 7th King of Joseon dynasty. Grand Prince Su Yang then known as King Sejo of Joseon.
The Princess' Man drama actually starts one year prior to this bloody revenge jealousy event. It starts in 1452. Grand Prince Su Yang has arranged a marriage between his beautiful eldest daughter (Princess Se Ryeong) and General Kim Jong So's youngest son (Kim Seung Yu). Initially Princess Se Ryeong is curious about her future husband so with help of Princess Gyeong Hye, she has her first encounter with Seung Yu at the palace. Seung Yu is Princess Gyeong Hye's teacher so one day before Seung Yu comes, she sneaks out of palace while Se Ryeong is inside her room pretending to be Princess Gyeong Hye.
King Munjong knows that his young son won't be able to handle the political pressure from General Prince Su Yang after he passes away, and arranged his daughter, Princess Gyeong Hye to marry Kim Seung Yu (to be Prince Consort).
General Prince Su Yang who has proposed the marriage first to General Kim Jong So is betrayed that General Kim Jong So chose King Munjong instead of him. And it's the start of their hostility and fight.
On the other hand, Se Ryeong and Kim Seung Yu are getting closer together and Se Ryeong admits to Princess Gyeong Hye that Seung Yu is the first man that she wishes to marry. Princess Gyeong Hye who is aware of her marriage arrangement is also falling in love with Seung Yu, jealousy between them starts. First of all, she revealed that the person who Seung Yu has been talking and teaching to was Se Ryeong and then she forced him to forget about Se Ryeong and proceed with the wedding plan arranged by their fathers.
Unfortunately, Kim Seung Yu has already fallen in love with Se Ryeong and they have to endure a difficult love journey.
Fate brought these two enemies son & daughter together. How will they react when they know that the father of his lover killed his own father? Will he revenge? Can he hold his anger? What will happen with their forbidden love?
I really can't wait for the Princess' Man. Even though I silently hope that they will extend the episode, 24 seems too short for a sageuk drama.

Why I watched the Princess' Man?
Love can happen to anyone, even to the son & daughter of two enemies.
Although I already know that this sageuk drama will have a sad ending, however, I'm so excited to see Moon Chae Won's comeback in a sageuk drama as I love her in Painter of the Wind. I haven't seen Park Si Hoo's drama yet, however, many people have commented that his portrayal in Queen of Reversal was amazingly great, so I will be rooting for him too.
Honestly, I can't continue watching any drama if I don't feel the chemistry & connection between the main lead actor & actress. Even if the storyline is good. For the first few episodes, I won't judge their chemistry, however, if after 5 or 6 episodes I don't feel any chemistry, I will stop watching the drama.
By looking at the first few still images of Kim Seung Yoo & Se Ryeong couple, I think they're perfect for each other!
And they proved me right! I love them in the Princess' Man.
