Looking Back Over the Years with Nat King Cole

When we were children growing up, my Dad had a small but prized set of LP records. His collection included music by 4 of his all-time favourite singers - Nat King Cole, Brook Benton, Mario Lanza and Frank Sinatra.

I have had a really wonderful childhood, thanks to both of my parents, and whenever I reminisce on my childhood the timeless and sensual voices of these men - Nat King Cole, Brook Benton, Mario Lanza & Frank Sinatra - are always beautifully intertwined in those memories.

I share my love for really good music and dancing with my Dad. When you have a taste for good music, I have realized that it never dies with time because even with contemporary music, my Dad would always surprise me when he’d like some of the very songs that I liked.

There are some voices that are timeless, ageless and caressingly soothing. Nat King Cole’s voice is one of those for me! Have you heard Nat King Cole sing ‘Looking Back’? My goodness!!! I swoon each and every time! It’s one of those songs that is just too short. It’s one of those songs that you must play over and over a few times before moving on to listen to the other songs on the album.

Timeless Classics from the 1940s, 1950s & 1960s

This album is a collection of 28 jazzy, masterful and timeless classics in Nat King Cole’s caressing voice which makes you want to fall in love over and over again. I have heard many and varied versions of these same songs by different singers and none of them satisfy me as completely as when I hear them sung by Nat King Cole. He just reaches into my soul and touches it in the tenderest of places.
