For those who are planning to spend some quality time with their dear ones must go for enjoyable London show, Kinky Boots The Musical! The hugely loved London show is adapted from the famous 2005 British film. The movie was inspired from a true saga and revolves around young proprietor Charlie who builds a friendship with a drag queen, Lola, who assists in making his shoe business around.
Famous musician and lyricist pop star Cyndi Lauper has churned some wonderful musical compositions. It is a based on a book by Harvey Fierstein, whereas directed and choreographed by immensely talented Jerry Mitchell. The popular London show, Kinky Boots has been awarded with prestigious six Tony Awards at the 2013 ceremony such as Best musical and Best Score. After the phenomenal success of Broadway production, the show also sparked a National US tour followed by West End transfer.
The story is set against the backdrop of a failing show factory, where Charlie and Lola set out to corner a niche market. They start creating custom made shoes for Drag Queens. The show features some wonderful catchy tunes including “Sex is in the Heal”, “Everybody Say Yeah” and “Land of Lola”.
Kinky Boots The Musical marks the debut of Lauper into musical theatre. She went on becoming the first woman ever to win the Tony Award Best Score category solo. The immensely talented American singer/songwriter and actress, Lauper is often remembered with the 80’s. Some of her remarkable classic hits are “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” and “Time After Time”. On the other hand, Fierstein is known for writing the book for musicals Newsies and La Cage aux Folles. He won Tony Award for that, whereas Torch Song Trilogy is his debut play for which he earned a Tony Award.
Outstanding choreography by two time Tony Award winner Jerry Mitchell is magnificent. Some of his remarkable direction and choreography has been in Legally Blonde: The Musical as well as Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. The current cast members are David Hunter (Once) as Charlie Price, Simon-Anthony Roden as Lola and Verity Rushworth as Lauren, as well as Cordelia Farnworth as Nicola, Alan Mehdizadeh as Don and Michael Hobbs as George. On 15th September, Kinky Boots the Musical made its debut at the Adelphi Theatre. The show is still running with packed houses.

The popular theatre is located near London’s tourist hotspots. Some of the popular tourist spots at a nearby distance are Leicester Square, Trafalgar Square and Piccadilly Circus along London's most famous museums, galleries and monuments, such as the National Gallery and Nelson's Column.
