Thela Madine, the dressmaker featured on Channel 4's Big Fat Gypsy Weddings, is about to face her most challenging project in her fifteen years as a dressmaker for the traveler and gypsy community.

Thelma's Gypsy Girls offers opportunity outside if the caravan and into the fairy tale dress factory for the chosen ten young women. Traveler and gypsy girls often leave school early, many before reaching their teens. As future wives, the girls begin to train for a life of cleaning caravan and caring for their brood of youngsters. Many cannot read or write.
