Billy Jack (1971)

This is a story about a man named Billy Jack. A man who's mission in life is to protect the helpless and downtrodden.

A half-breed Native American and ex green beret, Billy Jack finds his cause when he meets a woman who runs a progressive school named Freedom School. All kids are encouraged reguardless of their color or ethnic background to express themselves through activities such as art, theatre, and music. But when prejuduce from local townsfolk threatens the school and their way of life, Billy Jack steps in.

This story is an amazing and unique blend of honesty, humor, courage, and love.

This is truely a movie that champions the underdog and warrior spirit. It includes a stellar soundtrack with songs such as One Tin Soldier (by Jinx Dawson), Johnnie (by Teresa Kelly), and When Will Billy Love Me (by Lynn Baker).

This movie is a timeless classic. I hope you get the opportunity to check it out.

Thanks for reviewing this movie...I remember seeing it a long time ago...just watching the clip reminded me of just how powerful this movie is. It really makes you think about so many issues...and it doesn't let you sit on the fence about them. Great movie!
