Top Ten Michael Jackson Songs
Michael Jackson Singles
Since starting his singing career with his brothers in the group the Jackson Five Michael Jackson has continued to entertain with his singing and dancing. In the eighties Michael Jackson was crowned the King of Pop it's a title that he never relinquished until 2009 when he passed away.
It is hard to think of Michael Jackson's top ten songs as he had so many. His album Thriller was released in 1982 and still holds the record of the biggest selling album ever.
As a child star Michael Jackson lived his life in the public eye.......that didn't stop him from producing a huge repertoire of music.
I am sure you will not all agree with my top ten favorite Michael Jackson songs, but there are so many to choose from it was a very hard list to make.
Please add your top ten Michael Jackson songs to the comments section at the bottom of my list.

- One Day in Your Life

Man in the Mirror
Michael Jackson
Man in the Mirror was off of Michael Jackson's Bad album and was released as a single in January 1988. It was written by Glen Ballard and Siedah Garrett and produced by Michael Jackson and Quincy Jones.
I just love this song and the record buying public did too which meant another Number 1 single for Michael Jackson.

Billie Jean
Michael Jackson
Billie Jean was written by Michael Jackson and was produced by Quincy Jones (who actually didn't like the single). Released in 1983 it was the first video of a black artist that MTV played and became an MTV favorite.
It was actually during a performance of Billie Jean that Michael Jackson moonwalked for the first time.....I still can't moonwalk(!)

Wanna Be Startin' Somethin"
Michael Jackson
Wanna Be Startin' Somethin' was the fourth single released off of Michael Jackson's hugely successful Thriller album. This single was again written by Michael Jackson himself and produced by both Michael and Quincy Jones.
I find the song really poppy and it certainly feels the dance floor quickly, I certainly can't sit still if I hear it...

One Day in Your Life
Michael Jackson
One Day in Your Life was written by Sam Brown and Renee Armand and was Michael Jackson's first UK number one hit single in 1981.

Beat It
Michael Jackson
Beat It was also written by Michael Jackson and he told Rolling Stone during an interview that when he was writing this song he wanted to write the type of rock song that he personally would go out and buy......
I'm not sure what that means about his other songs.
I just love the beat, again Michael Jackson knows how to write and record a great dance record.
The Way You Make Me Feel
Michael Jackson
The Way You Make Me Feel was another song that Michael Jackson wrote himself and it was the third single off of his Bad album. This song has such a catchy sound that it has been covered by several other artists including Jesse McCartney and Jordan Sparks.

Thriller
Michael Jackson
"What? Thriller's at number 7, are you crazy??" I can hear everyone from here, but as much as I liked Thriller and the video was - a m a z i n g - I really don't think it was his best, although it's definitely in his top ten.
This song was written by Rod Temperton and produced by Quincy Jones and is probably the first Michael Jackson song someone would name if they were put on the spot, that's how huge it's impact was.
Smooth Criminal
Michael Jackson
Smooth Criminal was released off of Michael Jackson's Bad album and didn't do as well as I personally felt it deserved. I'm not alone in thinking that this single (written by Michael Jackson) should have done better Alien Ant Farm also thought so and released their own cover of the single in 2001, this time it made the number one spot.

Ben
Michael Jackson
Ben was a number one hit single for Michael Jackson in 1972 at the tender age of fourteen. It is just a beautiful song....originally written for Donny Osmond, I can't imagine anyone other that Michael Jackson singing it now.
Don't Stop Till You Get Enough
Michael Jackson
Don't Stop Till You Get Enough was the debut single off of Michael Jackson's 1979 Off The Wall album. Written by Michael Jackson this song also won him his first Grammy.
Number one around the world this song showcases Michael Jackson's voice really well and is a fun disco/dance combination song that is still fresh sounding today.
