Transformers Mini Autobots
The Generation One Mini-Autobots
The generation one Transformers were always known for Optimus Prime, Megatron and other Autobots/Decepticons such as Starscream, Jazz, Hound, Soundwave. But the ones that matter the most were the Mini Autobots. These guys may have been small in size, but some of them stood toe to toe with the much larger Decepticons and usually 9 out of 10 times would defeat them. So I want to pay homage to these Autobots who I think made the difference in the many battles that they've been a part of.
Probably one of the most recognizable Autobots next to Optimus Prime. He was the smallest out of the mini Autobots and was probably one of the weakest. But that didn’t stop him from going into battle. With his human best friend Spike, they would go and would do all the little things that mattered when going on a mission from Prime. He would go onto be injured in battle and would reform into Goldbug.
Most likely the strongest out of the bunch. He was probably stronger than most of the Autobot cars that were taller than him. Most of the time, you would see him battling and defeating one of the Decepticon jets. They knew not to mess with him once he was in battle. Too bad that he met his maker when he was killed in battle during the 1985 Transformers the Movie as he was shot by Starscream with Megatron’s gun form.
He may have been similar to Bumblebee in car model, but that’s where the similarity ends. Cliffjumper is much stronger than Bumblebee and was more physically into the battle than he was. He was last seen escaping Unicron along with other Autobots during Transformers: The Movie, and wasn’t seen since.
He would transform into a miniature truck similar to Optimus Prime, but he sure didn’t have the attitude of it. Although he used to battle with the best, he always seems to have questions for just about anything. But he would never back down from a fight. He was last seen in Transformers the Movie but was never heard or seen from again.
If there was an Autobot who would complain about everything, that would be Gears. He would love to fight all the time, but he would also complain all the time. He was always grumpy and upset about something.
He was smooth just like his mini red corvette form. But he was the quietest one. He would give his opinion when needed and that was about it. Unfortunately he was last seen in Transformers the Movie as the female Autobot Arcee had pulled his lifeless body away from the battle against the Decepticons.
He was the same as Huffer as far as transformations go, but that’s about it. He was a mechanic that could fix just about anything. He spent more time behind the scenes fixing up Autobots who were damaged. But he’s had his fair share of battles.
Powerglide can be a wise crack of sorts but as the only mini Autobot who could transform into a plane, he was very useful in battle. He would normally work best when pairing with his best buddy, Warpath.
As the only mini Autobot tank, Warpath loved to go into battle with the Decepticons and would shoot them down with his powerful cannon and would end it off with a ‘Wham! Bam!’
The mini dune buggy Beachcomber was less about the battle and more about the beach. He would pick hanging in the sun over battling the Decepticons on any given day.
If you would hear the mini Autobot hovercraft Seaspray, you would think that he was talking underwater. But this Autobot did what the others couldn’t and that’s take the battle of the Decepticons to the seas.
The Autobots had a UFO ship of their own and it was in the form of the mini Autobot, Cosmos. You would rarely see him in battle on Earth with the Decepticons. He spent more time in space searching for rare artifacts.
Wheelie is the wild child of the mini Autobots. He was all about the battle, but he would always complete his sentences with a rhyme. Like Bumblebee with Spike, Wheelie was best friends with Spike’s son, Daniel and would rarely see the two apart.
