Two and a half men fan page

Updated on February 3, 2013

Two and a Half Men is a long running American sitcom. For the first eight seasons the show focused on the contrasting relationship between the hedonistic Charlie Harper (Charlie Sheen) and his lodger/ younger brother Alan (Jon Cryer). Alan is forced to live with Charlie after his divorce (the amount of alimony he pays his ex wife Judith makes him unable to afford his own place). Alan's son Jake (Angus T. Jones) also lived with them at weekends. As the show progressed, Charlie evolved into the half man.

Following a dispute with show producer Chuck Lorre, Charlie Sheen's contract was terminated with immediate effect. His character died off-screen. He was replaced at the start of series 9 with Walden Schmidt (played by Aston Kutcher). Jake has appeared in fewer episodes since. The new show has provided successful; it has had far higher ratings since the departure of Sheen.
