Updated on October 1, 2011

Veggietastical Musical Tour

Storytelling That Goes the Distance

VeggieTales was the cover story for the Jul/Aug 2011 issue of FamilyFiction

"We wanted there to be a mix of earnestness and silliness while telling a story that parents really appreciate with biblical values they want to pass on to their kids," co-founder Mike Nawrocki shares. "So from the very beginning, we felt like there was a strong message behind what we wanted to do with our stories. And we felt like there was a real need for stories like that."

#10 Oh, Santa - from THE TOY THAT SAVED CHRISTMAS

"Nobody messed with Santa! You know that, don't you? You've been very naughty -- and I've got a list!"

#09 The Blues with Larry - from DUKE AND THE GREAT PIE WAR

"Sorry man, you're way too happy to sing the blues."

#08 The Hairbrush Song - from ARE YOU MY NEIGHBOR?

Our curtain opens as Larry, just having finished his morning bath, is searching for his hairbrush.

#07 New and Improved "Bunny Song" - from VERY SILLY SONGS!

#06 Where Have All The Staplers Gone? - from PISTACHIO: THE LITTLE BOY THAT WOODN'T

And now it's time for Obscure Broadway Show Tunes with Larry, the part of the show where Larry comes out and sings an obscure broadway show tune.

#05 Song of the Cebu - from JOSH AND THE BIG WALL!

A sequential-image, stereophonic, multimedia event.

#04 The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything - from VERY SILLY SONGS!

Joining Larry are Pa Grape and Mr. Lunt, who together make up the infamous gang of scalliwags The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything.

#03 BellyButton - from THE BALLAD OF LITTLE JOE

Boyz in the Sink sing their classic.

#02 The Water Buffalo Song - from WHERE'S GOD WHEN I'M S-SCARED?

"We're going to get nasty letters saying, 'Where's my water buffalo? Why don't I have a water buffalo?"

#01 Dance of the Cucumber - from RACK, SHACK AND BENNY

"Look at the tomato. Isn't it sad? He can't dance. Poor tomato."

Honestly, we love them both! Hairbrush Song will always be my favorite because when my husband was coaching girls basketball at the christian school that my daughter attended and played, they requested to run out on the court to that song...so many memories!

I know almost all of these! My daughter and I quote Veggietales almost every single day. Love them. My faves are the songs from Autotainment, the lesser known video. So nice to see lots of these songs in a 10 Favorites style.

My favorite song to come out of Veggietales is Belly of the Whale by the Newsboys so it wasn't exactly by the Veggies themselves. I gave your lens a SquidAngel blessing

Great lens!!! I love Vegietales although I think I love the older ones than the newer ones. Josh and the Big Wall is my favorite. The songs rock. I own all the CDs and even have the Boyz in the Sink CD. The music is so fun and uplifting.

Veggietales are the best! I had never heard stapler song, but Bellybutton will always be my favorite, besides the cheeseburger song. That's the best, in my opinion. But they are all great!
