What's Wrong With The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame?
What Is It?
The Rock And Roll Hall of Fame was created in 1986. It's in Cleveland, Ohio. Ever since it's creation, different members from the history of rock have been inducted into it. Both performers, and non-performers, as well as sidemen. They also give out Lifetime Achievement awards, and Early Influence awards.
I'm not exactly sure who the people are that do the voting for these things, but I've noticed some glaring omissions in their choices, as well as some really great ones. In this lens, I'm going to show who I think belongs there, and who they've been missing all these years.

The Ones I Like
Here's my top 5 for the ones they've included.
1. Alice Cooper
2. Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers
3. The Doors
4. Led Zeppelin
My choices are skewed a little towards the harder rock side, but at least they get included on occasion.

The Glaring Omissions
In My Humble Opinion
Here's my picks for the Top 5 that should be there, but aren't. Again, they're going to be skewed a little towards the harder rock side.
1. Judas Priest
3. The Runaways
4. Deep Purple
5. Joan Jett
6. Pat Benetar

To Quote Eddie Trunk
"Don't get me started on the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame!"
Eddie Trunk - Metal DJ and host of That Metal Show
A Few Comparisons
1. Madonna is in the hall, but Pat Benetar is not.
2. Metallica is in the hall, Iron Maiden is not.
3. The Sex Pistols are in the hall, Iggy Pop is not.
4. The Staple Singers (?) are in the hall, but Nirvana is not.
5. Black Sabbath is in the hall, but Deep Purple is not.

Your Opinion Please
This is supposed to be the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. Metal and Hard Rock are just as much a part of Rock And Roll as some of the mellower stuff is.
Do you think there's something wrong with the people who make the choices?
Leave your opinions here. Do you agree with me, or do you think they're doing just fine?
