Why people really love military or war movies?

Updated on December 3, 2015

Do you like them too?

Let's be honest, many people are fascinated with films about military stories or specifically about war. More people than they really even accept it. Much is said about the different aspects of a war, the cruelty of battles, blood, suffering, loss, etc. and many other negative aspects, however it is a fact: we love war movies. Have you ever wondered why?

Many a movie has been made on wars from Bible times up to today. One must remember they are movies. Being in the mist of battle is a totally different thing. Even off the battlefield those who serve see death differently as they lose friends to the war's. If anything the war I was in brought me closer to GOD and the love of LIFE for all. Thanks for bringing this up for other's to really stop and think about it.

Great lens theme. I think my favourite films are Saving Private Ryan, All Quiet On The Western Front and Apocalypse Now
