Another Wizard of Oz Movie Remake?

The Wizard of Oz is so popular that it inspires many new movie ideas, possibly more than any other movie. However, few of the proposed new movies make it to the big screen.

This page includes two of the new movies that actually did get made: Disney's Oz: The Great and Powerful and The Witches of Oz. However, this page is really about finding out what other fans think about new Wizard of Oz movies.

I am not sure how I feel about the remake of a beloved classic movie like The Wizard of Oz and some argue rightfully that the two movies mentioned above are not REMAKES but further exploration of the world of Oz. Personally, I think that they should leave good enough alone unless they make a solid remake or a really good add-on story in the best possible fashion and by that I mean with a strong story line, excellent cast and full budget.

On this page, YOU will have the opportunity to have your say. Are you excited or devastated about the news of a Wizard of Oz movie remake?
