WordWorld for kids

Updated on September 12, 2011

Wordworld by PBS Kids

WorldWorld is one of the most ingeneous show I have seen on kids TV.

The Gold winner of a Parents Choice Award this show is both entertaining and educational for toddlers and pre-schoolers.

My boys love watching this show when it is broadcast on the Playhouse Disney Channel that we subscribed for them.

In each episode the Wordfriends have a task to complete and while completing their task they take the chance to Build A Word.

In a recent episode which the boys and I watched on Dog's birthday his friends were planning a surprise party for him, but they didn't have a cake! With a little help from Pig, Frog gathers the letters C-A-K-E and with some effort he got them to the party where he built the word CAKE.

It is interesting to see by placing the words C-A-K-E together a cake is form. Kids learn straight away how to associate the word CAKE with the actual cake.

Do try to catch the show on cable with your kids. You won't be dissapointed.
