WWE2k18: Why Undertaker Should Have Been The Cover Star

Updated on September 7, 2017

We should be faced with the Dead Man

The Undertaker retired at Wrestlemania 33 which was a huge moment especially as he lost to Roman Regins. Everyone expected Taker to go out on a win especially at Wrestlemania but his streak now ends at 23-2. Which is still amazing but it was sad to watch him lose his final match.

Taker has been with WWE since November 1990 that's almost 27 years that's a staggering amount of time for a wrestler to be at one company. Taker is a legend and there is no doubt about it. It is disappointing that 2K wouldn't put Taker as the cover star for WWE2K18.

Taker should have been that cover star as the legend that he is, especially as he retired this year. Not only that but just imagine what the showcase mode would have been like. We could have play though all the amazing matches Taker had over his 27 year career all the stars, blood, action, destruction, memories and this would have been as hot as hell........in a cell.

In the showcase mode there could have been interweaving story sections. Such as rise of the "Dead Man", "taking souls and digging holes", "brothers of destruction" and so much more. Each could have focused on a specific time in the Takers career and could have given so much intensity, enjoyment and excitement to the player.

We could also had a remembrance section in which they could have played clips of his matches, promos, entrances, all of it. Just like they did with Steve Austin in WWE2K16, they had it as part of showcase mode, but for the Taker should be a complete separate mode. We could have relived all the special moment and the basked in Takers glory.

Taker is a one-in-a-million. There will never be anyone like him again. John Cena may be the favored superstar for the WWE, but Cena is no match for Taker and his accomplishments.

Seth Rollins

But no instead they put Seth Rollins on the cover, Seth is great don't get me wrong but he is a current superstar and will still be around for a long time. Also it's not like he has done much for the past year, he was WWE champion again for 2 second before Dean cashed in the money in the bank contact and won the title, he is now WWE Raw Tag Champion. Yes, ok, so he may have beaten Triple H but apart from that he is a regular Joe. We might still have his best yet to come.

Well there is always next year? Am I right?

Agreement?

Who agrees with me Undertaker should have been the cover star?
