5 Good Products for Babies and Toddlers

Updated on January 31, 2018

Here I share with you my opinion about some of the products I would recommend to new mothers. Learning what products would make our lives more comfortable with a baby was a task my husband and I found stressful at times. Some of the products mentioned here were gifts from family and friends, others we bought by ourselves. They all made our day-to-day a bit less frustrating.

5 Good Products for Babies and Toddlers.

These five great products for babies and toddlers are going to make your life easier. They did it for me, and still doing it after several months of continuous use. What I love about them is their ability to accommodate my daughter as she grew from a baby to a toddler. She is now 22 months old (as for the time I wrote this post) and continues using some of them. Some of these are on the pricey side however, but their durability and versatility make them worth it. I highly recommend them.

Highchair

The Peg Perego Siesta Highchair is an excellent product for both baby and toddlers. We started using it as soon as Emma was able to sit up. Even though we use this chair daily, several times a day, it continues to look new. My daughter’s been using this high chair for over 16 months now.

The removable chair cover is good quality material. It can be wiped and cleaned effortlessly. Also, you can adjust the straps to your baby and toddler’s height. Most of which are also removable for more convenient cleaning. Personally, I like to soak them in soapy water for a few minutes when they need a wash.

For the removable and easy-to-set table, you just have to press a handle to put it in place and to remove it. Now, the handle is “hidden” underneath the table, but it is easy for an adult to handle. I believe, this is to avoid baby and toddler from pushing it out of its place.

My favorite part is that I can adjust the chair to different heights. I can change it to stay low closer to the floor, or higher. Thanks to this feature, Emma now can sit in the chair when it’s in the lower position, all by herself. So, we don’t have to help her sit down in her chair anymore, and it is safer for her as well. Yay!!!

Also, the chair reclines all the way to the laying down position, as well as stay slightly reclined. I love this feature because it’s great for letting the baby have her naps comfortably. Emma used to have her naps in her chair while I did some housework. And, for even more comfortable nap time, you can adjust the feet support to different elevations.

On top of that, the Peg Perego Siesta Highchair can be folded and has wheels! The wheels make it a breeze to move the chair around the house and transport the baby from one room to another. An adult can lock them without much difficulty, which makes it a little safer as well.

Overall, this high chair is very sturdy and high-quality. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a durable and versatile high chair for the little ones.

Play-yard.

The Regalo Super Wide Gate and Play-Yard are one of those “must-have” products when there are small children at home. However, never let small children unattended.

My husband and I started using it when Emma became more mobile. Thanks to this product, I managed to do things at home while my daughter was playing by herself in her jail… I mean, play-yard. Furthermore, the play-yard is very easy to install. What I like about it, it’s that can be folded to accommodate different spaces. It allowed us to use it in more than one place at home. Also, I believe it can be mounted on the wall for more security, in case the child manages to move it around. The gate has a latch that opens when you pull a short piece. The small piece works as a lock. However, the gate opens easily with one hand if done by an adult or older child with the ability to pull harder.

I recommend the Regalo Super Wide Gate and Play-Yard to anyone looking to keep their younger children playing in one specific area of the house. As well as for blocking some entries or rooms.

Activity Garden.

The Little Tikes Activity Garden Baby Playset comes with different playing sessions combined all in one. It is like a little playhouse but way more fun. You can also transform it into a two side playset. It gives space for more infants to play at the same time with it.

We bought it as soon as Emma learned to sit up. Though she could not play with some of the features back then, she enjoyed watching the different colors and shapes. After she kept using it and her motor skills became better, she was able to play with everything in the activity garden.

The installation is not difficult; I did it myself. The playset comes with lovely details that catch one’s eyes and makes it fun to play. My daughter is 16 months old now (as of the time I wrote this post), and she still enjoys playing with the playset. Furthermore, the playset is durable and resistant. My toddler is a little aggressive with it sometimes, and it hasn’t broken!

One of Emma’s favorite parts is the removable panel. The panel has a large button, which when pressed starts playing a bird’s tweeting melody. Don’t worry; you can turn it on and off in case it gets annoying. Because my daughter loves listening to some sounds and music, this feature and the little piano sitting on top of the door are great for her.

The Little Tikes Activity Garden Baby Playset is great for keeping baby and toddlers busy for a while. In addition to helping them develop motor skills, it keeps baby content and learning.

Baby Carrier.

The Ergobaby 4 Position 360 Bundle Of Joy with Easy Snug Infant Insert is our preferred baby carrier. We loved it so much; we got another one. One to keep in the car for outings and one to use in the house. Because Emma was a tall baby, she did not fit in the carrier with the snug infant insert. We didn’t use the insert, but it is a great addition, especially for smaller babies.

Again, the material is reliable and durable. In fact, my daughter weights close to 30lbs now (as of the time I wrote this post) and we can still put her in the carrier without difficulty. Not for very long though, she prefers to walk around now. Also, you can wash the baby carrier easily in the washer.

Furthermore, this carrier has a thick belt that stays put with velcro and a long adjustable strap that goes around it. The belt provides some lower back support too! Thanks to the support that offers, I was able to carry my baby around without difficulty. The carrier has adjustable features like straps and buttons, making it more comfortable to wear in different ways! It is easy to handle by oneself as well. I loved carrying Emma on my back while doing housework. The carrier has a head cover for baby, which is “hidden” in the front pocket. Great for rainy or cold days!

Overall, I love the Ergobaby 4 Position 360. I haven’t tried other baby carriers, but I am satisfied with this one. I recommend it to anyone looking for a baby carrier that can be worn in different positions. Also, to anyone who needs to get things done and likes to carry their infant around, the back position is fantastic!

Stroller.

The BOB 2016 Revolution FLEX Stroller became a great addition to our baby gear collection, since the start. We bought the car seat adapter as well and plugged the car seat to the stroller. It works perfectly for newborn babies!

First of all, the stroller is very sturdy and high quality. Also, the front wheel swivels for smooth movement during tight turns, as well as locks in the forward position for more stability. It is useful, especially when jogging or walking on rough areas. We use it to go out on trails, and it is a smooth ride every time. I love it! Also, the storage below the seat works well for a diaper bag and other few things. There is a long mesh pocket on the back of the chair that can carry a few more things as well. One of my favorite things about this stroller is the retractable ceiling. It has a window that allows me to check on Emma while walking.

Lastly and very important too, the stroller can fold for better storage and transportation. I don’t use this feature very much because I don’t mind leaving it unfolded. However, when I need to put it away, I can fold it and even take the wheels off. It also takes less space in a closet.

I highly recommend the BOB 2016 Revolution FLEX Stroller to anyone with one child who also enjoys walking in trails or forest areas. Also, if you like to jog while pushing a stroller, this is your must-have stroller.

These are five great products I highly recommend. You will get value for your money with these because they are durable, high quality and convenient. Don’t forget they will also accommodate your little bundle of joy for a good while. And, you will have a break from all that baby and toddler gear shopping.
