A Weeding We Will Go

Updated on July 24, 2010

I Know There Are Flowers In There Somewhere

Each time I walk around my yard I see something different

I see a new flower that just bloomed

A weed growing strong

One little plant growing tall

Another weed trying to hold on to a baby leaf

Some tullips beginning to bud

Way in back of the flower bed a weed trying to fight for position

Trees with their leaves the greenest green I have ever seen

One weed so persistant deep down in that cement wall

A vine climbing to new heights

When you see one weed you see a family

A lilac bush smelling so fine

Those darn weeds in the grass too

A beautiful wild flower of bold purple colors

Weeds in every corner of the house

Rose bush branches blowing in the breeze with their lovely pedals falling off one by one

Many more weeds  mixed in the gravel driveway trying to make it their home

So where ever I go I see beauty

I also can't miss the weeds that will also be there

So no home is complete without a combination of beauty and the beast

DREAM ON...''WEEDY " ? as I have said before.... weeds are here to stay, can't we all just get along ? You garden will be the envy of the neighborhood once the weeds start to can justify by giving them exotic names ( drives the neighbors crazy)

loved your attitude ..poem quite smart..did you know " wildflowers" are the love child of flowers and weeds ? hehehehe
