BYE BYE CHARLIE and GOOD RIDDANCE
. . .The gradual decline
Fed up with his bizarre behavior, caustic words and drug problem, Warner Bros.banned Charlie Sheen from the studio lot where his television show, Two and One Half Men is filmed. According to gossipy sources, which are not to be taken too seriously, the orders were to “ban him from the lot, don’t even let him get in far enough to make a U turn.”
Whatever! I just hope he never returns to TV, or any other form of entertainment.
Charlie Sheen is no longer the young handsome stud we saw and loved in Platoon. He is an over-the-hill middle- aged man whose face and body are marked by overindulgence in drugs. He behaves on and off screen like a degenerate fool. He pontificates arrogantly about his own wonderfulness, a legend in his own mind.
I rarely watch sit-coms and had the unfortunate experience of tuning in one of the Men episodes and was appalled. Here’s this impressionable boy being raised by a womanizing middle aged over the hill drippy looking narcissistic amoral fool and a weakling buffoon of a father.
The entire premise for the show is totally missing any morality. The show is filled with sexual innuendos and numerous referrals to body parts. In one episode Charlie is recovering from a hangover and actually vomits on a baby in a café. Both the brothers show total disrespect for their mother.
When this kind of trash is aired on television in the early evening and becomes one of these most popular shows ever, what kind of message is this for young people?
How do the mothers of young daughters allowed to watch this repulsive show handle this quote from one of the episodes where Charlie is talking to his young nephew. "I will not take advice from someone whose current girlfriend is a gym sock."
Well we reap what we sow. We have teens flaunting their bare bodies on the Internet having sex and babies at 12 years old and idol- worshiping people like Paris Hilton and the Jersey girls.
