Baby Boy Gift Baskets & Ideas

Updated on March 10, 2014

Welcome Little One!

"Snips and snails, and puppy dogs tails; That's what little boys are made of!"

If you're welcoming a new addition to a relative or friend's family, then you're likely looking for some clever ideas that the proud family won't be getting two of.

They'll usually get lots of balloons, flowers, and cards. But what they probably won't get is an adorable baby boy gift basket. So here are a few ways you can make these baby boy baskets work for you!

Do you know someone expecting a baby boy?

Welcome Wagons

One new gift that is available now is a baby welcome wagon. Baby welcome wagons are a wonderful gift idea! They typically involve a little wagon filled with baby welcome items such as onesies, toys, bottles, books, and other necessary baby essentials.

There are also some options to personalize some of the items that come in a welcome wagon too.

It's a creative way to say, "Congrats!" with a little bit of flair.

The Actual Baby Basket

Welcome wagons aren't the only way to go if you want to give a batch of baby goods at once.

If you choose to go with a baby basket, you'll have plenty of options to use as your carrier.

You could use a regular basket and dress it up with a bow, or you could use a baby bassinet or Moses basket for a unique tough.

Once you have the basket picked out, fill it with practical baby items that the new parents can use!

Extra diapers is never a bad idea. Baby lotions, soaps, shampoos, wipes, and burp cloths are always great additions as well.

Sports Gift Baskets

New dads always seem to have pictures in their heads of how many sports their little boy will play someday.

Maybe they have a favorite sports team and they want to pass down the obsession, or maybe they just know in the back of their head that their son will someday score the winning goal for his high school hockey team.

Whatever the passion is, you can go along with it by giving the little one a sports gift basket. These are typically filled with goodies such as team banners, sports cookies, snacks, books, toys, and other athletic-related items.

Welcome Baby Cookies

If the new mom has had her fair share of baby showers, family gifts, and you know she probably already owns everything she could possibly need; then consider bringing them a baby cookie basket!

These are delicious, decorated cookies that congratulate the family on their latest addition. They are made to be uber-cute and the taste is just as good!

There are many different designs out there to choose from, but my favorite is this, "It's a Boy" cookie bouquet with little onesies, baby bottles, and rubber duckies.

What great ideas... My cousin and his wife are expecting their first child in literally weeks. Unfortunately, I wish I would have found this much earlier as this would have been the perfect gift to give them. Great ideas!
