Bruce Jenner's Sexual Confusion
Bruce Jenner, a 65 year old man (Bruce does refer to himself using male pronouns), is now capturing the world's attention by proclaiming that he is a woman.
As I see social media posts on this, and other news media cover this story, the question I ask myself is... "Why does anyone care?" I know he has enough money to change his appearance to whatever he desires. So why is this story such a big deal? It would be more of a story if he was homosexual, but he's not. The only reason why anyone in our generation would even know the name Bruce Jenner, is because he was married to Kim Kardashian's mother.
Who Is Bruce Jenner?
Apart from being an Olympian, who is Bruce Jenner? Here is a 65 year old man who was recently divorced to one of the richest women in Hollywood. This is a man who loves women, he even met his second wife hanging out at the Playboy mansion. If Bruce has been struggling his whole life with being a woman, do you think that would have influenced his decisions in his relationships and marriages? I would. But, Bruce has been married to three different beautiful women and has 6 children of his own. I think if I thought I was a woman for just a few years, it would drastically change all of my relationships.
I don't know the reason behind Bruce's new public revelation of being a woman in a man's body. But, if Bruce is looking for sympathy or some form of concern he definitely should not look in my direction. All I see when I look at him is a confused individual, a poor father, a bad husband, and to me he's ultimately just another rich person in Hollywood looking for attention.
Sexual Mental Confusion
A lot of people are becoming more confused about their sexual identity. I feel it's not because of hormonal imbalance, or they were born that way... it's solely because of poor parenting and the porn industry's influence on today's society.
We don't have to read the Bible to understand that all humans are either male or female. Every person born has either an XX or XY chromosomal makeup. However, nature does provide exceptions to some rules, and here is where it gets confusing when there are discussions about hermaphrodites or intersex people. Both of which is very confusing to the average person. Well, basically both terms describes situations when a person's external genitalia doesn't all the way match their internal sexual anatomy. Though the simplicity behind a person being a male or female still lies with the makeup of their genetic chromosomes, being XX or XY, how someone identifies themselves (whether male or female) will always lie with how they look physically and any other personal reasons.
One thing I admire about Bruce, is that he definitely has the courage to tell the world how he feels. And, I know there are so many people who have so many great things to share to the world, but instead of shouting their feelings from the rooftops, they would rather sit quietly in their timidity. Well, I hope you get this memo, because I am going to be me, and I hope that you be you regardless if the world likes it or not.
There is value in having integrity, there is respect in honesty and there is honor in consistency. I hope all who reads this understand that I have no ill will or disdain for anyone, and I am a promoter of love.
If you are dealing with confusion with your sexuality, I recommend you reading the Bible, 1 Corinthians 13 talks about love. When you understand true love, you will set the foundation for an understanding of what sex was meant to be. And, ultimately you'll understand that God loves you just the way you are. So just be you.
