FIFO partners with kids

Updated on April 6, 2016

Sometimes when two people who have kids needs more for work and one decides to do fly in, fly out (FIFO) and wonder if they can handle their partners away especially with small kids

It is actually easier at times being alone not only because it is good to have rest away from each other but with them gone you have your own routine to stick to. It might be hard at first but it does get easier as you get used to it. I have one easy child and a one that's extremely hard who doesn't listen and laughs when he gets punished so it's hard.

It can feel like your a single parent when your on your own but you don't have a partner to argue with about where to go or what to do and being busy with kids time does fly and feels like they're back before you know it.

There's no need to worry once they leave you'd see is not as bad as you thought. It can at times be overwhelming but hang in there you'll be fine and you'll enjoy them more when back
