Face lotion for your baby - be motivated to use separate lotions for baby's body and face

Updated on September 15, 2013

Best baby's face moisturizer

I know that for myself, I use care in selecting a moisturizer just for my face which is separate from the lotion I use for my body. Similarly, for my baby, I use Johnson and Johnson's body lotion but not on the face. Motivated to avoid any kind of skin reaction I wanted to find an ultra gentle lotion that is highly recommended specifically for using on a baby's face, just in case.

What I found is this: Nature's Baby Organics Face and Body Moisturizer. I like it so much. It works perfectly.

This product is packaged in a white 8 ounce bottle with a yellow labeling on top. It has a picture of a mother holding her young child.

Adena, the founder and a mother of two daughters, created the line herself when she could not find a suitable product already on the market. One of her daughters has eczema and the other has allergies to various chemicals, perfumes and dyes.

Vegan and Organic

A summary of Adena's background and story is right on the labeling of the Nature's Baby Organics Face and Body Moisturizer.

While I am not a vegan or specifically loyal to vegan body products, I was impressed to see that this product is vegan and organic. Just a few of the ingredients that I was pleased to see on the ingredient list are aloe leaf, olive oil, jojoba oil, and safflower seed oil. Calendula flower extract is also included.

Where to Find

This product works so well, soothing baby's dry skin gently without causing any irritation and without causing the skin to be oily. I do not feel like I even need to test another product. I will keep using this one. I love the calming effect for the skin. A little goes a long way and one bottle can last a very long time. In fact, I have had the same bottle for over six months so far. I use it only on baby's face and another less expensive brand (Johnson and Johnson's) on the body.

I purchase Nature's Baby Organics Face and Body Moisturizer at Target store for $10.95.

It is available at many other retailers as well.

      Hi alekhouse,

You have commented on my hubs so loyally. Thanks! I really appreciate that. I hope you're doing well.

In my experience, the lotion has been essential for preventing excessive dryness but a little truly does go a long way. Just a dab will do each time. I haven't had any problems with clogged pores/ baby acne.

I've been told never to use lotions and powders on the faces of babies. It clogs their pores. I hope I'm wrong.
